The team at Fred are stoked to be back and we are looking forward to seeing what 2025 has in store for us all. We hope you enjoyed your break away and managed to soak up some sun and shenanigans with family and friends.
The mood is already more positive, and we couldn’t be happier about it. The year ahead is destined to be a much better one for us all, though we anticipate a little more ‘sitting tight’ to go. 2024 has undoubtedly taught us if nothing else, to tread carefully into the new year with tippy toes.
That said, some things must boldly forge ahead and so Fred has secured a brand new Auckland office. We love our new space, and look forward to the comradery and collaboration being together will bring this year. Fred has a flexi working style that suits us all to work where we work best, but we always find we gravitate together – a testament to a team who not just work together, but genuinely love doing so.
We anticipate similar sourcing trends to continue this year, with a high percentage of recruitment coming from the passive market last year – this makes it all the more important to engage with agencies who don’t just advertise. Investment into search tools is expensive, and isn’t always a priority for spend. At Fred we have prioritized it, as we believe it is the difference between your role reaching all of the market, or a very small piece of it. It’s worth asking your recruiter about this and understanding their process on a deeper level, so you aren’t just getting CV’s that you could access yourself. We all know that the right people make all the difference to your business.
We have some fantastic people on our books at the moment – some eager and hungry newly graduated talent seeking first roles, as well as experienced, proven masters of their trades, who have returned to the consultants at Fred for guidance into 2025 opportunities ahead.
