The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for a junior Accounts professional looking to build on their early experience in a stable, well-run business with plenty of support around them.

Working as part of a close-knit finance team, you’ll provide key support across Accounts Payable while also assisting with day-to-day finance administration tasks. It’s a role that will suit someone who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in accuracy and wants to continue building a career in finance.

You’ll be supporting invoice processing, supplier payments, reconciliations and general accounts administration, while also stepping in to provide wider support where needed. With strong leadership, a collaborative team and plenty of opportunity to learn, this is a great role for someone who is switched on, reliable and keen to grow.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting the Accounts Payable function with invoice processing, coding and payment runs

• Ensuring supplier invoices are accurate, correctly authorised and processed on time

• Maintaining supplier records and resolving invoice or payment queries

• Assisting with reconciliations, bank statement processing and cashflow support

• Providing cover for Accounts Payable tasks when required

• Supporting the wider finance team with general accounts and administration duties

About you

This role will suit someone with around 1–2 years’ experience in an Accounts Assistant, Accounts Payable or finance administration role who is looking to build on their foundations in a supportive team.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Some exposure to Accounts Payable, invoice processing or general finance administration

• Strong accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when working with numbers and high volumes of data

• Confidence coding invoices, processing payments, reconciling accounts or handling supplier queries

• Good organisation skills and the ability to manage deadlines in a busy environment

• A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and the confidence to ask questions

• Strong Excel and general systems skills

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who is reliable, switched on and keen to keep developing your skills within a collaborative finance team.
