This is a hands on role for someone who enjoys improving systems, simplifying processes and helping people get more value from the tools they use every day.
An established New Zealand financial organisation is seeking a Business Systems & Process Improvement Manager to cover parental leave from February 2026 to March 2027. This role sits at the centre of the business, acting as the link between an outsourced IT provider, internal teams and the systems that support how work gets done.
The role
You’ll take ownership of the day to day running of core business systems while also working proactively with the business to identify opportunities for digital and process improvement. With IT outsourced, you won’t be hands on with infrastructure, but you will be the key conduit between the business and external providers, ensuring issues are resolved, improvements are delivered and systems continue to evolve in the right direction.
Alongside the operational side of the role, there is a strong improvement focus. In 2026, you’ll work closely with the Head of People and Operations to help progress the organisation’s digital and AI direction, including researching new systems and software to support future capability over the next one to three years.
Key responsibilities include
• Ownership and administration of core business systems and digital platforms including Zoho, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Teams, Copilot and DocuSign
• Business systems administration, user access management, troubleshooting and first line systems support
• Managing vendor relationships and coordinating support tickets through to resolution
• Partnering with teams to identify, design and implement business process improvement and workflow optimisation initiatives
• Supporting system upgrades, testing, digital adoption and change initiatives
• Delivering onboarding and user training and maintaining system, process and technical documentation
• Monitoring data quality, reporting, system metrics and compliance requirements
About you
You enjoy working across both systems and processes and you’re comfortable talking to people at all levels of the business. You’re practical, curious and not afraid to get stuck in, whether that’s fixing a problem, improving a process or exploring how emerging tools such as AI can add value.
You’ll likely have experience in business systems, IT support, business systems analysis or process improvement, and be confident working with platforms like Zoho and Microsoft 365.
What’s on offer
- 12 month fixed term parental leave cover from Feb 2026 to Mar 2027
- Salary range of $90,000–$110,000
Broad, hands on work with real ownership - Opportunity to contribute to future systems and AI direction
- Supportive, down to earth working environment
