The Company

My client is a top-tier poultry provider committed to excellence and quality. We are looking for a dedicated Farm Team Lead to join their team and contribute to our continued success.

What you will be doing

As the Farm Team Lead, you will be managing a team of 6 while also being hands-on as a truck driver, commuting between the farm and Auckland Airport. This role is hands on, with a good mix of driving, leadership and farm operational tasks. Previous experience leading a team in an agricultural, livestock or poultry will set you up for success here. 

• Supervise and lead a team of 6 farm staff, providing training and guidance. 
• Schedule and coordinate daily tasks and responsibilities.
• Driving a Class 5 truck to transport goods between the farm and Auckland Airport.
• Assist in daily farm operations, ensuring smooth running.
• Monitor livestock and poultry health and welfare, contributing to overall farm efficiency and productivity.

The role is a full time, permanent position working around 50 hours per week. 

What we are looking for:

The farm is located in Te Kauwhata, this opportunity would suit someone living nearby, whether that is the outskirts of Auckland or rural Hamilton. You will need to have a class 5 license and a clean MOJ.

• Class 5 Driver's License is required.
• Experience in livestock, poultry, or agriculture is ideal.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to perform hands-on tasks and operate vehicles.
• Strong work ethic and reliability - you will be working 50 hours a week.
