This role would suit either a seasoned flooring professional stepping into operations leadership, or a sharp, well-organised administrator ideally with flooring knowledge ready to take the next step.

The Company

This is a trusted, long-established name in the flooring industry and proudly operates under a household flooring brand. Known for their strong reputation and loyal customers, the group delivers carpet, vinyl, laminate and timber flooring solutions to both residential and commercial clients.  This role will focus mainly on residential projects.

With multiple sites and a busy team of employee and contract installers, we are looking for a dedicated Operations Manager to ensure the delivery of projects is slick, to time, budget and any issues are sorted smoothly, every single day.

The Job

This role is all about ensuring the installer teams have what they need to get jobs done right, on time, and with excellent customer outcomes. You’ll be in the warehouse early, actively engaging with installers, checking in daily, and keeping workflow on track across four sites.

Your ability to juggle priorities, solve problems quickly, and communicate clearly with everyone – from installers to managers, drivers to customers – will be the key to success.

Your daily responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing installer workflow and scheduling across 4 branches
  • Manage warehouse operations; managing stock and ensuring products are available
  • Monitoring job progress and juggling jobs and installers around when required
  • Building trust and respect with installers and warehouse team by working alongside them
  • Being the “go-to” person for troubleshooting on-site challenges
  • Diffusing customer concerns and ensuring issues are resolved promptly
  • Maintaining excellent organisation and administration of job schedules, documentation and updates
  • Liaising across the business to keep everyone informed and on track

What We’re Looking For

We’re after someone who is highly organised, practical, and people-focused. Flooring knowledge is important (installation, prep, products), but equally critical is the ability to build respect and trust with a diverse team.  We are open to a super sharp scheduler/people manager if you've got the aptitude to learn flooring.

Key skills and attributes include:

  • Solid background in flooring, building, or related industries
  • Proven ability to manage workflow and schedules in a fast-paced environment
  • Resilient – calm under pressure, able to adapt when “things go wrong”
  • Strong communication skills – able to connect with installers, managers, and customers alike
  • Problem-solving mindset with a knack for diffusing difficult situations
  • Confident administrator with excellent organisational skills
  • Willing to be hands-on in the warehouse every day.

If you’re ready to step up and take ownership of this integral role for the business please apply by sending your CV to Cherie Hill today.
