Frame and Truss Detailer

Well-established manufacturer seeking a skilled Senior Frame and Truss Detailer + flexible role with some wfh + Albany location 

• Albany location + package negotiable + ideal for experienced detailer
• Must have Pryda or a strong interest in learning this software
• Ideally open full time permament however potential for a contractor too

Are you an experienced Frame and Truss Detailer looking at other options in the market? My client is a well-established manufacturer seeking a skilled Senior Detailer to join the Albany based team.
You'll be an efficient and experienced detailer with strong cubic output, and will play a key role in delivering high-quality residential and commercial framing solutions. 

About the Role:

As our Senior Detailer, you will be responsible for producing accurate and efficient frame and truss designs from architectural plans, working closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce detailed frame and truss designs using Pryda softwarenterpret architectural drawings and specifications accurately
• Liaise with clients, engineers, and site teams to resolve technical queries
• Check and quality-assure your own work and that of junior detailers
• Mentor and support less experienced team members
• Optimise designs for material efficiency and structural performance
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Coordinate with production and dispatch to ensure smooth project flow

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in frame and truss detailing (3+ years preferred)
• Proficiency in Pryda software — essential (or a very strong desire to learn it)
• Strong understanding of NZ building codes and timber framing standards
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
• High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience mentoring junior staff is advantageous
