Frontline 2IC

You will be supporting the Frontline Manager on site for either afternoon or night shift, managing operations and production, and leading a team of 15 to ensure targets and KPI’s are achieved!

• Afternoon or Night Shift Rosters + Weekend work + long standing team and staff
• Growing, stable, NZ-owned, operated business + free parking on site!
• $1 an hour night shift allowance (after 6 pm) + paid overtime time & half

You will be supporting the Frontline Manager on site for either afternoon or night shift, managing operations and production and leading a team of 15 to ensure targets and KPI’s are achieved!

We're looking for a proactive and reliable 2IC to assist the Front Line Manager in leading a team of 15 on either the afternoon or night shift. This is your opportunity to be part of a proudly NZ-owned company producing beloved products nationwide.

Two Shifts Available:

• Afternoon shift + rostered weekends: 2:45pm – 11:15pm
• Night shift + rostered weekends: 11:00pm – 7:15am
• Flexibility to cover day shifts when required (leave or absences): 7:00am – 3:15pm

About the Role

As the 2IC, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the Front Line Manager with leading the shift and ensuring smooth production operations. You'll act as the go-to person in their absence and help drive team performance, uphold safety and quality standards, and foster a positive, efficient working culture.

• Assist with leading, coaching, and supporting a team of 15 production staff
• Help ensure production targets, quality, and safety standards are met
• Provide hands-on support on the floor, stepping up in the Manager’s absence
• Coordinate shift handovers and maintain production records

About You

You’re a strong team player with leadership potential and a background in manufacturing or FMCG. You're adaptable, reliable, and thrive in fast-paced environments. Whether you’re ready to step into a leadership position or looking to expand your experience, this role offers the perfect stepping stone.

• Experience in a team leader, senior operator, or 2IC-type role
• FMCG or manufacturing industry background
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• A hands-on, can-do attitude and a drive for results
• Flexibility to work across shifts as needed
