You will be working on a fleet of civil and earthmoving machinery, mostly Caterpillar (CAT) equipment. The role includes workshop servicing as well as some on-site breakdown support when required.

This is a stable, full-time role with consistent work and a good team environment.

The role: 

This position involves maintaining and repairing heavy diesel plant used across civil construction projects. The focus is on keeping machinery reliable and minimising downtime.

  • Servicing and maintaining heavy diesel plant and earthmoving equipment
  • Fault finding and repairs across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Scheduled maintenance and preventative servicing
  • Breakdown response and on-site repairs when needed
  • Inspecting plant, attachments, and site equipment
  • Supporting parts ordering and workshop stock
  • Completing job cards and service records using digital systems

What we are looking for: 

  • Trade qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Automotive Engineer, or equivalent experience
  • Experience working on civil plant or earthmoving machinery
  • Full Class 1 driver’s licence
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Physically fit and comfortable working on heavy equipment
  • Able to work both independently and within a small team
  • Motivated and reliable
