What your day could look like

This is a true generalist role where you will be hands on, supporting the NZ operations across a broad range of people matters. You’ll work closely with the NZ based Director, providing practical HR advice, supporting managers and helping guide everyday people decisions.

You’ll be involved in ER cases, performance processes, engagement initiatives, and general HR support. This role is about being present, practical and confident applying NZ employment legislation in real situations, while continuing to build your capability with the support of the wider HR team.

  • Provide day-to-day HR advice and support to managers across NZ
  • Support ER matters including performance management and disciplinary processes
  • Assist with engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives
  • Contribute to HR administration, reporting and operational HR tasks
  • Work closely with the NZ Director as a trusted HR support partner

This is a role where you can genuinely make your mark, while also having the space to step into broader initiatives across the group over time.

So, who are you? 

You are an HR professional with around 2–4 years’ experience, either currently in an HR Advisor role or ready to step into one. You’re looking for more ownership, more exposure and the opportunity to continue developing your career in a practical, people-focused environment.

Ideally, you’ll already have exposure to ER matters, performance processes and supporting managers with day-to-day HR advice. Most importantly, you’ll have a solid practical understanding of NZ employment legislation and feel comfortable applying this in real workplace situations.

You’re grounded, approachable and confident building relationships across all levels of the business. This role will suit someone who enjoys being close to the people side of HR, working alongside operational teams and being part of a practical, hands-on culture

  • 2 - 4 years’ HR experience in an Advisor or similar role
  • Strong working knowledge of NZ employment legislation
  • Experience supporting ER and performance processes
  • Confident communicating with managers and employees
  • High emotional intelligence, practical mindset, and strong interpersonal style

Exposure to Australian employment legislation would be a bonus, but not essential - maybe you are someone interested in developing in this area?
