About the role 

Join a supportive team in Imports Customer Service and take on a dynamic role. You'll be responsible for facilitating and processing end to end inbound import orders while managing key account relationships and ensuring consistent KPI achievement. This is a newly created position for a growing, busy team!

Ideal skills and experience

We’re seeking a skilled professional with industry experience, a knack for great customer service, and strong interpersonal skills. To be successful in this role, you will have:  

• 2+ years of experience in Freight Forwarding
• Background in Imports Customer Service (Air or Ocean)
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong ability to build and maintain customer relationships
• Highly detail-oriented, organised, and efficient
• Positive, proactive mindset

Duties include 

• Receive bookings from clients and agents
• Coordinate with overseas offices or agencies to confirm bookings 
• Track shipment status and update customers on delivery timelines
• Provide customers with shipping or air freight options and relay to the origin office for shipment arrangements
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure optimal transit, updating any changes to departures, transshipments, or arrivals
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, shipment details, and any issues
• Ensuring that all shipments comply with relevant regulations
