- Hands-on leadership role keeping operations running smoothly
- Work side-by-side with an approachable, down-to-earth GM
- Kiwi-owned business in growth mode, with real career potential
I have partnered with a Proudly Kiwi-owned business that supports the lower south island construction industry. They’ve built a solid name in the industry backed by a national group that offers the stability of a long-established company with the growth and opportunities of a business on the move.
The day to day
This is a senior leadership role that will see you run the branch while the GM is out on the road, keeping operations flowing and the team motivated. You’ll manage workloads, stock and yard activities, but your role goes beyond that.
You’ll also build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, local businesses and suppliers, ensuring expectations are met and opportunities for growth are identified.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan workloads and support the GM with branch scheduling
- Manage client expectations and build strong business relationships
- Manage stock levels, deliveries and regular stock-takes to exceed client expectations
- Oversee the yard and ensure equipment is maintained and safe
- Lead Health & Safety initiatives and staff training
- Work closely with other branches and sister companies across NZ
This is a full time, stable role in a business with a strong pipeline of work ahead, job security and career growth included.
About You
You’re organised, practical, and confident leading a team. You know how to get the best out of people and aren’t afraid to step in where needed. You’ll likely come from a construction, civil, or trades background and understand how to keep all the moving parts running smoothly.
You’ll bring:
- Strong people management and leadership experience
- A solid understanding of operations, logistics or yard management
- Ideally you will have knowledge of construction or civil environments, but this isn't a deal breaker
- A proactive approach to Health & Safety
- Confidence making decisions and taking ownership
What's in it for you:
You’ll enjoy a relaxed but hard-working culture, with plenty of variety and the chance to make a real impact as the business continues to grow. With an attractive salary package of between $90 - $100k, with a company vehicle, laptop, mobile phone and annual bonuses - you will be looked after here
- $90k - $100k salary, paid weekly!
- All the tools of trade, mobile phone, laptop and a company vehicle
- Career growth opportunities in a business that’s expanding and on the rise
- Lead a small, tight-knit team of 7 and enjoy the autonomy of a small business while benefiting from the stability, support and resources of a larger national group
This is an incredible opportunity to step into a key leadership role, work alongside a the GM and build something long-term in a business that values loyalty, effort and trust.
