The role

You’ll play a key role in assessing internal processes and ensuring systems and controls are working effectively, bringing a flexible and proactive approach to the role. You’ll work alongside the Risk & Compliance Manager and wider team. This position operates Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm!

To be successful

You’ll be detail focused and confident navigating complex regulations, with the ability to translate them into practical actions that support the business. You’ll also be:

• Have a high attention to detail and flexible approach 
• Ideal experience in risk, compliance, lending or financial services industry
• Familiar with CCCFA, AML/CFT, Privacy Act, or FAP requirements
• A clear understanding of Lending fundamentals, budgeting and affordability
• Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills 

Duties & responsibilities

• Keep up with regulatory changes (CCCFA, AML/CFT, Privacy Act, FMCA)
• Support complaints handling, audits, and regulatory reporting
• Maintain accurate compliance records
• Help roll out and keep compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures up to date
• Conduct internal audits and check branch performance on health, safety, and other regulations
• Lead compliance projects and contribute to staff training and improvement initiatives
