Sales Engineer

The Opportunity
We’re on the lookout for a motivated Industrial Sales Engineer who knows their way around rotating equipment and gear drive solutions and loves turning technical expertise into customer success. In this role, you’ll be at the front line of innovation working with clients across a range of industries to deliver smart, reliable and efficient mechanical solutions. You will drive sales and promote the products and services of this leading global manufacturer who specialise in drive and motion automation technology. You will enjoy solving complex challenges, building strong relationships and seeing your work in action. Covering the Auckland region this is not a desk job, you will be out and about building and maintaining relationships with clients and distributors. You will seek out new business and expand market presence. You will also be a trusted technical advisor and able to provide hands-on support and troubleshooting for rotating equipment including, motors, gear units and drives.

What You’ll Do

• Build and grow relationships with industrial clients across the manufacturing sector in the wider Auckland region
• Identify opportunities and provide tailored solutions involving rotating equipment, gearboxes and drive systems
• Prepare and present technical proposals that clearly demonstrate value and performance
• Collaborate with engineering and service teams to ensure seamless project delivery
• Stay ahead of industry trends and bring fresh ideas to customers
• Provide technical support for your clients with regular on-site visits
• Promote the products and services and seek out new business

What You Bring

• Minimum 5 years experience in industrial sales or engineering with a focus on rotating equipment, gear drives, or power transmission systems
• Strong technical understanding paired with commercial awareness - an online physics exam is part of the recruitment process
• Confident communication skills and a natural ability to build trust
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
• Relevant Degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical or mechatronics) or equivalent industry experience
