This is an opportunity to take ownership of a well-established appliance retail store in Putāruru, backed by a recognised New Zealand brand. With a solid customer base and consistent demand, the focus is on leadership, sales performance and delivering a high standard of customer experience.
About the Role
As Store Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the appliance division, leading a team of 2 to 3 staff and ensuring the store consistently achieves its sales and performance targets.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will be on the floor selling, coaching your team, managing store operations and ensuring strong commercial outcomes. You will also take ownership of rostering, reporting and overall store performance.
The business operates with clear monthly targets and budgets, so you will need to be confident working with numbers, tracking results and making adjustments to keep the team on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a small retail team
- Drive sales performance and achieve monthly budgets
- Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor, leading by example
- Manage store operations including rostering and administration
- Build relationships with customers and ensure a high level of service
- Monitor results and identify opportunities to improve performance
About You
- Proven experience in retail leadership or senior sales
- Strong commercial awareness and confidence working with sales targets and budgets
- A hands-on leader who enjoys being on the floor with the team
- Ability to motivate others and create a positive team culture
- Results driven, with a focus on performance and accountability
Appliance or big-ticket retail experience would be ideal. However, we are open to candidates with strong leadership capability and a proven sales background.
What’s on Offer
A competitive salary package, $80-90K base salary plus on-target earnings that will increase your OTE to $100K+.
The role also includes a structured commission model based on store performance, along with potential individual incentives.
