Technical Director 

Working on-site at the NZICC delivering visions through to reality for large-scale conferences working alongside national and international clients for successful delivery!

About the role

Step into a dynamic leadership role with a renowned and respected organization, working on a high-profile new project at the iconic New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) in Auckland’s vibrant CBD. As the Technical Director, you will be a key strategic partner, directly liaising with the client and representing the company on-site to ensure seamless event delivery.

Following the sales team’s successful handover, you will take the reins, driving the technical execution from concept to completion. From planning and technical design to on-site operations, you will turn vision into reality, ensuring every detail is meticulously executed.

In this exciting and pivotal role, you’ll combine your technical expertise with your leadership skills to deliver exceptional results, creating unforgettable event experiences and exceeding client expectations.

About you

If you’re an experienced, hands-on, and proactive leader who thrives on building strong relationships and driving projects to completion, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Working closely with a variety of stakeholders and internal teams, you’ll bring your enthusiasm, energy, and coordination skills to ensure smooth operations and exceptional outcomes.

We’re looking for a vision specialist with a solid background in audio and lighting, and hands-on experience managing and delivering multiple conferences and large-scale events. Your ability to stay upbeat and ensure the seamless execution of every detail will be key to your success in this role.

  • Experience in Event Management with a Specialisation in Vision, Audio, and Lighting
  • Ability to Build Strong Relationships with Stakeholders and Clients
  • A proactive, hands on individual who enjoys seeing processes through to completion and outcome 
  • Experience using software such as Vectorwork or other CAD programs
