Test Programme Lead

This is a senior leadership role for a test and quality specialist who thrives in fast-moving, complex environments

The Opportunity

This is a senior leadership role for a test and quality specialist who thrives in fast-moving, complex environments. You’ll take ownership of end-to-end quality outcomes across major programmes, working alongside delivery leaders, architects, engineers, and client executives. Beyond delivery, you’ll help evolve a modern quality engineering capability by lifting standards, mentoring talent, and influencing how testing is done at scale.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead and govern large, multi-stream test programmes with complex dependencies

• Own test strategy, planning, execution, reporting, and risk management

• Build trusted relationships with clients and senior stakeholders through delivery excellence

• Coach, mentor, and grow high-performing QE and testing teams

• Drive continuous improvement across testing practices, frameworks, and tooling

• Translate testing metrics into clear insights, risks, and recommendations

• Support practice growth through thought leadership, pre-sales, and opportunity shaping

• Manage onshore and offshore testing resources across delivery models

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years in software testing, with 5+ years leading test programmes or portfolios

• Proven experience delivering quality across large enterprise or ERP implementations

• Deep expertise across manual and automated testing, functional and non-functional

• Strong test strategy, consulting, and stakeholder management capability

• Experience across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models

• Hands-on knowledge of test tools, environments, and QE frameworks

• Confidence working with executives through to delivery teams

• Experience with API, integration, performance, UAT, and data migration testing

• A background in building, leading, and retaining high-performing testing teams
