The role
In this fantastic full-time, permanent, M-F role that reports to the Theatre Manager, you’ll be responsible for clinical and operational oversight of the PACU and Day Stay Units, managing the nursing team. The role ranges from hands-on clinical, people leadership, and operational duties including resourcing both staff and equipment.

Situated in a central Auckland location, this high performing private hospital delivers elective surgical care to adults and children. With 4 theatres, 20 PACU and Day Stay bays, and a 20 bed inpatient unit, surgical specialities include ENT, orthopaedics, spinal, urology, plastics, general and bariatrics. Leadership has fostered a very supportive, connected team so there’s a fantastic culture to work in.
I’d love to hear from you if you have:
- A positive attitude, flexibility and proven leadership experience with a clinical background in either PACU or ICU.
- Paediatric experience and a strong understanding of safe staffing models and patient flow alignment.
- Proven change management skills and an understanding of budgets
- NZ Nursing Registration and a current APC
