The Role
This is a real mix-it-up role. One minute you might be helping a new team member settle in, the next you could be out on the workshop floor chatting with the team about safety, coordinating training or making sure important compliance tasks are ticked off. Working closely with the HR Manager, this is a hands on and varied role that supports people, workplace safety and compliance activities across the business. It’s a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys multitasking and wants to build broad experience across full business operations.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll work across the full gamut of HR and people coordination with responsibility spanning People & Culture, Health & Safety, compliance and day to day business operations.
  • Support recruitment, interviews and employee onboarding
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation
  • Coordinate training and compliance records
  • Provide day-to-day HR support to managers and employees
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and encourage early reporting
  • Support hazard, incident and near-miss reporting and documentation
  • Assist with toolbox talks and frontline safety engagement
  • Support ISO 9001 & 45001 systems and documentation
  • Assist with audits, compliance registers and corrective actions
  • Maintain positive working relationships with employees, leaders, and
    contractors
  • Act as a visible, approachable contact point for people, safety, and
    compliance matters
  • Support a culture of openness, early reporting, and practical problem
    solving.
What you will bring
  • Proven experience in HR, Health & Safety, Compliance, Quality, or administrative support position - min 2-3 years
  • You will have had experience in operational environments such as manufacturing, engineering, logistics or construction
  • Strong organisational and administration skills with strong attention to detail and a passion for juggling multiple projects at any one time
  • Competent Microsoft Office and data entry/system use
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with frontline teams
  • Friendly and down to earth personality with a great sense of humour
You must be a NZ Citizen or hold NZ Permanent Residency. Pre-employment checks include MOJ check and Drug & Alcohol testing.
