About the Role

As Farm Manager 2IC, you will work closely with the Managing Director to support and lead the full growing and harvesting cycle. This is a practical, on-the-tools role with increasing responsibility, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and being involved across all aspects of vegetable production. You will help drive efficient farm operations while supporting the team and stepping in as second-in-charge when required.

• Overseeing groundwork, planting, fertilising, spraying, harvesting, and machinery operation

• Managing daily workflows, including harvest logistics, packhouse coordination, and order fulfilment

• Leading and working alongside a small team to ensure productivity, quality, and safe work practices

About You

You are a motivated and practical farm professional with experience in vegetable growing or agricultural operations. You lead by example, communicate well, and are comfortable balancing hands-on work with team leadership. You’re reliable, solutions-focused, and keen to grow into a trusted 2IC role within a family-run business.

• Proven experience in crop or vegetable production, including machinery operation

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and problem-solve with a small team

• A proactive, flexible attitude and a Class 4 licence (or the ability to obtain one)
