The Opportunity

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Financial Accountant to step into a 12 month fixed term contract with a well known organisation here in Sockburn. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in keeping the finance function running smoothly through a busy period of change and growth.

You’ll take ownership of month end processes, reconciliations, reporting, and general financial accounting tasks, the essential “nuts and bolts” work that keeps everything ticking alongside more technical duties. This isn’t a role for someone who just wants to sit back and review; it’s for someone who thrives when they’re right in the thick of it. This role is Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm.

Ideal Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Financial Accountant, ideally in a medium to large business
  • SAP experience is ideal
  • Solid understanding of month end processes and reconciliations
  • Someone who’s resilient, proactive, and not afraid of a bit of grunt work
  • A positive, bubbly personality who enjoys working with others
  • Available to start within the next 1-2 weeks
