This role offers a great opportunity for an experienced Legal Assistant to join a busy property team in Tauranga, with the added variety of estates work. You’ll be part of a well-regarded firm where support staff play a key role in keeping things running smoothly and delivering a high standard of client service.

The team is collaborative, fast-paced and growing, with a steady flow of conveyancing matters alongside private client work. This role will suit someone who enjoys variety and is confident in managing both property transactions and estate administration.

More than anything, they are looking for someone with the right mindset. Someone who takes initiative, works well under pressure and brings a practical, can-do approach to their day.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing conveyancing files from onboarding through to settlement
  • Assisting with estate administration and related documentation
  • Preparing legal documents, correspondence and billing
  • Supporting client communication and coordinating key milestones
  • Managing file organisation, deeds and compliance processes
  • Coordinating diaries, meetings and general team workflow
  • Helping ensure the team remains organised and well supported

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, with solid conveyancing exposure
  • Some experience in estates or private client work is highly desirable
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise effectively
  • A proactive attitude with the confidence to take initiative
  • Clear, professional communication skills
  • Confidence using Microsoft 365 and legal systems
