This thriving NZ success story is looking for a Management Accountant who’s confident with the numbers and comfortable working across the business. You’ll take ownership of core financial processes, from month-end to budgeting and variance analysis helping to ensure accurate, timely reporting that supports performance monitoring and better decision-making. 

This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to build strong relationships across finance and operations, and to bring a commercial lens to traditional management accounting.

What you’ll be doing:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis

• Drive annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes

• Complete month-end close tasks: accruals, journals, and reconciliations

• Maintain cost centre and project accounting accuracy

• Analyse performance vs budget/forecast and explain key drivers

• Partner with cost centre owners to manage spend and track performance

• Work closely with operational teams to understand cost drivers

• Support external audit processes

What you’ll bring:

• 3–5 years’ experience in management or financial accounting

• Solid Excel skills and experience with ERP systems

• Attention to detail with a strong analytical mindset

• Good understanding of accounting principles and cost control

• CA/CPA/CIMA qualified or working towards qualification

• Clear communicator who’s comfortable working across teams
