About The Practice
I am seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join a well-established, family-owned general practice in Mount Eden on a temporary basis, with the potential for the role to become permanent. Under new ownership for the past two years, the clinic has undergone significant improvements and continues to grow as a progressive and forward-thinking practice.
This is not your typical sterile clinic environment, the practice has a warm, welcoming feel, with a relaxed atmosphere and a genuinely friendly team who enjoy working together. You’ll be working alongside a supportive and collaborative team including 3 Doctors, 1 Nurse Practitioner, and 3 fantastic Receptionists (1 full-time and 2 part-time). The clinic is run like a well-oiled machine, offering a positive and enjoyable place to work.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Providing high-quality nursing care to patients within a general practice setting
- Conducting patient assessments, triage, and clinical observations
- Administering vaccinations, injections, and medications as required
- Performing wound care, dressings, and assisting with minor procedures
- Supporting chronic disease management (e.g. diabetes, asthma, cardiovascular conditions)
- Completing cervical screening, ECGs, and other routine clinical procedures
- Assisting GPs and the Nurse Practitioner with consultations when needed
- Contributing to a positive, friendly, and supportive clinic environment
What we’re looking for:
- A qualified and experienced Practice Nurse
- Experience using Indici is highly desireable
- Someone who thrives in a fun, team-oriented environment (Essential!)
- A friendly, approachable, and proactive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced but relaxed setting
