About the Role:

This is a key leadership role where you’ll be directly responsible for managing the Plastics Department - including 5 direct reports. You’ll sit on the Operations Management Team, attend weekly strategy meetings and be instrumental in shaping the success of the department and wider plant operations.

This role is hands-on - you’ll be comfortable stepping in to run the injection moulding machines (Netstal or similar) as needed, particularly during busy periods or for troubleshooting. You’ll oversee the planning, performance and output of the department, and step in to lead the rollout of a new production system (Aspect ERP)

This is a Monday to Friday, onsite role (7:30am – 4:00pm), though some flexibility will be required during peak periods.

• Direct leadership of the Plastics Department (5 direct reports)
• Planning and scheduling efficient daily operations and KPI tracking
• Hands-on technical support with injection moulding machines (Netstal experience welcome but not essential)
• Coaching and developing the wider team
• Collaborating with wider departments (Logistics, Assembly, Machine Shop) to optimise performance
• Playing a key role in the rollout of a new system
• A strategic approach that will drive continuous improvement through LEAN methodologies

You’re a proven production leader with strong technical knowledge of plastic injection moulding and a passion for developing people and processes. 

You lead from the front, communicate clearly and thrive in a collaborative environment where your input has real impact. You’re ready to be a role model and show strong potential for future leadership. 

You’ll bring:

• Proven experience in a production leadership role (plastics/injection moulding essential)
• Strong technical ability on injection moulding machinery (Netstal or similar is ideal!)
• A hands-on, proactive leadership style with the ability to coach and mentor others
• Clear communication skills and strong cross-functional relationship-building ability
• Understanding of LEAN, continuous improvement and operational efficiency
• Flexibility to work extended hours during peak seasons
