Best described as a small-to-medium sized manufacturing business with a long-standing, experienced team. Based in a fresh facility that runs 24/7 operations, free onsite parking working for a business who pride themselves on collaboration, innovation and quality.

About the Role:

This is a key leadership role where you’ll be directly responsible for managing the Plastics Department - including 5 direct reports. You’ll sit on the Operations Management Team, attend weekly strategy meetings and be instrumental in shaping the success of the operations.

This role is hands-on - you’ll need to be comfortable stepping in to run the injection moulding machines as needed, particularly during busy periods or for troubleshooting. 

This is a Monday to Friday, onsite role and there is flexibility with start and finish times.

• Direct leadership of the Plastics Department (5 direct reports)
• Planning and scheduling efficient daily operations and KPI tracking
• Providing hands-on technical support with injection moulding machines 
• Coaching and developing the wider team
• Collaborating with wider departments to optimise performance
• A strategic approach that will drive continuous improvement through LEAN methodologies

What we are looking for:

You’re a proven production leader with strong technical knowledge of plastic injection moulding and a passion for developing people and processes. 

You lead from the front, communicate clearly and thrive in a collaborative environment where your input has real impact. You’re ready to be a role model and show strong potential for future leadership. 

You’ll bring:

• Proven experience in a production leadership role (plastics/injection moulding essential)
• Strong technical ability on injection moulding machinery 
• A hands-on, proactive leadership style with the ability to coach and mentor others
• Clear communication skills and strong cross-functional relationship-building ability
• Understanding of LEAN, continuous improvement and operational efficiency
• Flexibility to work extended hours during peak seasons
