This role is the backbone of the manufacturing facility. You’ll be the go-to operational expert and leader, directly managing the flow of production to ensure every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule within this prefab building production site.

As a core member of the Manufacturing Team, your efforts directly translate into operational success and support this business’ commitment to innovation and excellence. We need a hands-on leader, someone who lives and breathes safety, quality control, and continuous improvement. You’ll ideally be coming from a construction/carpentry background with a sound understanding of what it takes to build quality buildings, you will be key in building a high-performance culture, promoting smarter ways of working, and rolling out new initiatives.

You will be able to:

  • Direct and coordinate the daily production of construction builds within a factory setting, supervising staff and labour hire teams to deliver on production goals safely and efficiently
  • Manage workflow, allocate tasks, and guarantee products leave on time
  • Mentor, train, and develop the team to maintain a highly skilled workforce
  • Uphold unwavering standards of quality and workmanship on all builds
  • Spot quality issues early, conduct root cause analysis, and implement lasting solutions
  • Drive a zero-harm, safety-first environment through routine inspections 
  • Support continuous improvement projects to strip out waste and boost efficiency
  • Keep a tight rein on inventory, managing storage and conducting regular stocktakes
  • Coordinate external contractors

About you:

  • A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory/leadership role within a fast-paced construction site or building production environment
  • Deep understanding of production processes, modern safety protocols, and quality standards
  • Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate a diverse team, fostering collaboration and accountability
  • Strong organisational abilities, excellent time management, and a detail-obsessed approach to quality control. You must be a hands-on problem-solver who can make effective decisions on the fly
  • Proficient in MS Office and comfortable learning new company systems
