Project Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead meaningful digital transformation projects that help organisations work smarter, embrace technology and create better outcomes for their people and customers. This isn’t a role where you simply manage a Gantt chart. It’s an opportunity to lead change, influence decision-makers, bring teams together and turn ambitious ideas into reality.

The Company
My client believes transformation is ultimately about people and has a modern approach to Cloud, Cyber Security and Application Development. Working on projects that are genuinely transformational and partnering with businesses across NZ to build scalable cloud foundations, design large-scale digital platforms and implement practical workplace AI integrations. This on-site role is based in Hamilton and we’re looking for someone who can commit to working from this inspiring office, home to a high-performing team. The Opportunity
As Project Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivery on multiple projects at any one time. You’ll work alongside talented technology specialists, business leaders and clients to take complex projects from concept through to successful delivery. You’ll bring structure to ambiguity, energy to collaboration and a relentless focus on achieving outcomes that genuinely make a difference.
Taking ownership of significant digital transformation projects, you will lead from planning and discovery through to delivery and beyond with the ability to handle high value clients and substantial budgets.

• Lead complex, high-impact transformation projects across multiple stakeholders and teams
• Build strong relationships with clients, senior leaders and delivery teams
• Translate business objectives into clear project plans, priorities and outcomes
• Bring people together around a shared vision and keep everyone moving forward
• Managing multiple projects, you will manage scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies and competing priorities
• Navigate ambiguity and solve problems before they become roadblocks
• Facilitate conversations that create clarity and drive decisions
• Keep stakeholders informed, engaged and confident throughout the journey
• Champion great project governance without creating unnecessary bureaucracy
• Identify opportunities to continuously improve how projects are delivered

What you'll bring
You’ll be an experienced Senior Project Manager who knows that successful delivery is about much more than ticking boxes.

• Proven experience delivering complex digital or technology transformation projects, min 8 years exp
• Strong project management methodology and commercial awareness
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders and influencing at all levels
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to bring structure to complex and sometimes ambiguous situations
• A collaborative, pragmatic and solutions focused approach
• Strong risk, issue, dependency and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to balance strategic thinking with getting things done
• A genuine interest in people, technology and creating positive change
