Salary Range
$105,000 - $120,000 Yearly
We are seeking experienced and motivated Psychologists for two exciting opportunities within specialist mental health services in Auckland. These roles offer the opportunity to work within supportive multidisciplinary teams delivering high quality, evidence-based assessment and intervention across specialist community and inpatient services.
One opportunity is within a regional specialist Eating Disorders service, working primarily with children and adolescents and their families/whānau. The focus of this role is to provide safe, appropriate and effective psychological interventions using contemporary evidence-based treatment approaches within a multidisciplinary team environment.
The second opportunity combines work within a specialist Memory Clinic service and an acute mental health inpatient unit supporting older adults experiencing cognitive impairment, dementia-related presentations and acute mental health challenges. This role includes psychological and neuropsychological assessment, consultation, triage and referral management across inpatient and community settings.
These services provide specialist assessment, treatment and consultation across Auckland and regional networks, with multidisciplinary teams committed to delivering person-centred and recovery-focused care.
We are looking for psychologists who bring:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong multidisciplinary team collaboration skills
- Experience working within mental health services
- Knowledge of evidence-based psychological interventions
- Experience working with complex mental health presentations across community and/or inpatient settings
- A culturally responsive and recovery-focused approach to care
To be successful in these roles, you will have:
- Registration with the New Zealand Psychologists Board and a current APC
- A recognised postgraduate qualification in Psychology or Clinical Psychology
- At least 2 years’ post-qualification clinical experience
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Neuropsychological/cognitive assessment experience is advantageous for the Memory Clinic role
- A full, clean New Zealand driver licence
