The product range — recycled wood waste used for animal bedding, playground surfacing, and landscape supply — is practical, sustainable, and increasingly sought after. You will be selling into farms, lifestyle blocks, schools, councils, and commercial sites throughout the Central North Island, with the backing of a team that knows how to support their people.

The Role

This is a relationship-first, field-based role — your days will be spent out with customers, not behind a desk. You will identify opportunities, run your own pipeline, conduct site visits and product demonstrations, and see deals through from first contact to close.

You will have the support of a proactive GM, a company vehicle, a strong product story, and the autonomy to work your territory the way you see fit — backed by clear targets, weekly team check-ins, and a CRM to keep everything on track.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Meet and exceed sales targets across animal bedding, playground surfacing, and landscape supply
  • Prospect, develop, and convert new business across the Central North Island
  • Build lasting relationships with farmers, lifestyle block owners, schools, councils, and commercial operators
  • Grow and retain existing accounts, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business
  • Conduct on-site visits, product demonstrations, and presentations
  • Prepare quotes and proposals, and negotiate to mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Keep CRM records current and provide regular reporting and forecasts to management
  • Manage your own territory coverage and call cycle efficiently
  • Be a genuine advocate for the environmental benefits of recycled wood waste products

The Ideal Person

You are a self-starter with a proven sales track record and love working with rural and commercial customers. You’ll be comfortable on farm as much as in a boardroom, and you build trust naturally — through good follow up, honesty, and knowing your product.

Experience in agricultural, rural, or product-based sales is a real advantage. You are organised, can manage your own time and customer base providing regular updates to your GM, and you take pride in doing the job properly. Familiarity with CRM systems and a full NZ driver licence are essential.
