About the role:

You’ll be at the heart of a vibrant specialist school, providing expert care, health education, and support to students aged 5 to 21 — many with complex health and learning needs. Whether it’s writing health care plans, teaching staff key medical procedures, or collaborating with whānau and specialists, your impact will be felt across classrooms and communities. You’ll be a trusted advisor, a team player, and a go-to expert who leads with compassion, knowledge, and a whole lot of heart.

About you:

• Are a Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate in Aotearoa

• Have at least 2 years’ experience (bonus if it’s in special education or a similar field)

• Can confidently lead small group training sessions and offer health advice to staff

• Have strong interpersonal skills and can communicate clearly across diverse teams

• Are flexible, adaptable, and cool under pressure

• Understand culturally responsive practice and the importance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi

• Love working as part of a multidisciplinary team (we’re talking therapists, teachers, psychologists, the lot!)

• Can use tech tools confidently — from shared drives to video calls

• Have a full, clean NZ driver’s licence
