Key duties of your role include:

  • Prepare and review a range of tax returns for businesses, trusts, and individuals.

  • Provide clear, tailored advice on tax matters, including structures, risks, and transactions.

  • Keep up to date with tax laws and regulations to support clients effectively.

  • Build strong client relationships and offer practical, strategic advice.

  • Support, guide, and mentor junior team members to grow their skills.

  • Look for ways to improve tax processes and overall client service.

  • Identify opportunities to offer additional services that add value for clients.

  • Oversee workflow and ensure deadlines and client needs are met.

  • Encourage learning and innovation within the team and stay current with industry change

Ideal background includes: 
  • Thorough understanding of NZ tax legislation ideally from a public accounting firm, however not essential
  • A people focused person; team collaboration is an essential piece to your skill set
  • Solid senior level tax consulting experience; an efficient time focused work ethic
  • A keen interest on personal development and developing those around you
  • An interest to join a full cycle accounting firm who is very future orientated and has growth in mind
