The Role
This pivotal role will lead ward operations, ensuring high-quality, patient-focused clinical care and drive strategic initiatives that support ongoing growth and operational excellence.
  
You will manage budgets, staffing, and service delivery models to optimise efficiency while fostering a positive and collaborative team culture. The role requires partnership with consultants and multiple stakeholders to maintain and elevate standards of care in line with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  
What You’ll Do

  • Lead and inspire ward teams to deliver exceptional clinical services and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategic service plans aligned with organisational goals.
  • Manage financial performance including budgets, reporting, and cost control initiatives.
  • Oversee staffing models, rostering, and workforce planning to support flexible, sustainable work practices.
  • Build strong interdisciplinary relationships with consultants, clinicians, and business partners.
  • Champion health, safety, and wellbeing across all ward operations.

About You

  • Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Nursing and a current Annual Practising Certificate.
  • Minimum 3 years’ leadership experience in acute or surgical healthcare environments.
  • Proven ability to manage teams, budgets, and complex operational processes effectively.
  • Skilled at identifying and implementing practical improvements that enhance service delivery.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a collaborative leadership style.
  • Resilient, solution-focused, and capable of making sound decisions under pressure.
  • Proficient with healthcare IT systems and Microsoft Office suite.
