The Opportunity
We’re looking for an energetic and hands-on Warehouse & Workshop Technician to take the reins at a busy Rolleston site. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, this is your chance to make the role your own.
From keeping warehouse operations running like clockwork to picking, packing and dispatching orders, you’ll play a key role in keeping things moving. You’ll also get behind the wheel of a forklift to manage stock and ensure everything is in the right place at the right time. Alongside this, your mechanical know-how will shine as you diagnose, repair and service electric motors delivering smart solutions and great customer experiences. You’re just as comfortable behind a computer as you are on the workshop floor. With strong admin skills and confidence using Microsoft Office, you’ll keep the backend running smoothly and efficiently. As a customer facing role, your communication skills and commitment to quality, safety, and service will set you apart.
This is a sole-charge position ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, autonomy, and variety. You’ll be supported by a collaborative team, working closely with our Auckland-based Operations Manager, Internal Sales Team, and Production Scheduling Team.

Responsibilities of the Role
Warehouse Operations Management
- Using a forklift you will receive and process inwards stock and supplies into the warehouse racking system.
- Order processing with full responsibility for accurate picking and packing and shipment of goods
- Manage stock inventory with stock transfers, stock takes and the relevant documentation required for inwards/outwards, purchase orders and shipments
- Maintenance of a tidy warehouse at all times ensuring health & safety compliance at all times.
- Carry out correct modifications to electric motors as per customer requests
- Assemble and disassemble electric motors identifying repairs when required
- Fit and replace components including bearings, shafts, terminal boxes, fans and other motor parts
- Assist with troubleshooting and technical problems as and when required
- Experience with spray painting for damage repairs
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment
- Provide the highest standard of customer service and admin support for the smooth running of the warehouse and workshop
- Ability to prepare quotes and invoices to customers using your strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage workflow incorporating warehouse and workshop responsibilities
- A min 2 years experience in mechanical, electrical or engineering technical support repairing electric motors
- Strong computer literacy using MS Suite and understanding of administrative duties
- Current OSH Forklift licence
- Strong communication skills and confident with customer service, on phone, in person or over email
- Excellent organisation and management of workflow
- Can-do attitude and self-managing, you enjoy autonomy and responsibility as a key holder
- Positive and accountable personality, you enjoy responsibility and being the go-to person
