This organisation is deeply embedded in the community and your contribution is right up there in ‘feel good factor’.

You’ll be part of a small not for profit organisation who celebrates our local community and champions the amazing talents we have in our own backyard. They are a one-stop shop for marketing, media and events, all with community at their heart.  Working here is like a family, your contribution is hugely valuable and everyone pitches in with love.

About the Role

This is a part-time position, 8-10 hours during winter and 10-15 hours over summer.  We'd like this person based in the Mt Maunganui office, and our ideal days are Mon, Wed and Fri (this is negotiable for the right person).  Your tasks will include:

  • Managing the business accounts using Xero
  • Overseeing vendor bookings via a new digital booking system
  • Administering online timesheets for contractors and preparing for payment
  • HR admin: contracts, onboarding, payroll, and compliance with employment legislation
  • Leading and supporting funding applications for community events and projects
  • Coordinating financial reporting and compliance for external funders
  • Preparing monthly management accounts and year-end reporting for the accountant

What You’ll Bring

To thrive in this role, you'll be a calm, capable accounts expert with a ‘leave-it-with-me’ mindset and the maturity to handle any situation that comes your way.  You’ll also need:

  • Proven experience in a sole-charge accounts/admin role (ideally with Xero)
  • Good knowledge of the Google suite (g-drive, docs & sheets)
  • High integrity, self-motivation, and calm under pressure
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A team-first attitude and great relationships with colleagues and vendors
  • A values-driven mindset – this organisation leads with heart, not profits

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Purposeful work that truly makes a difference in the community
  • A fun, friendly team who support and uplift each other
  • A flexible part-time schedule that fits with your lifestyle
  • New offices in sunny Mt Maunganui – with plenty of community spirit

This is more than a job – it’s a chance to be part of something meaningful and rewarding. To be considered please send your CV in today – we’re interviewing as soon as the right person appears.
