About the role
Are you a seasoned freight professional looking for a new challenge? We are seeking someone with proven sales experience to step into an established freight forwarder, driving the sales of the Air & Ocean division.
This BDM role offers the flexibility to be based in either the North or South Island and the opportunity to make a real impact within a high performing business. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in international sales, securing new business, and building long term client relationships.

To be successful
You’ll know the Air & Sea Freight division like the back of your hand, have proven sales experience and be well connected within the Freight Industry. We are looking for someone who has:
- Minimum 3–5 years’ sales experience in freight forwarding (Air & Ocean)
- Proven success in international sales and business development
- Strong industry network and market knowledge
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship building skills
Main responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities
- Manage and grow relationships with clients, suppliers and agencies
- Develop tailored solutions to meet customer needs
- Collaborate with operations to ensure seamless service
- Achieve and exceed sales targets
- Working closely with Management, relaying market feedback, sales successes and failures
