This is an exciting role for an ambitious, strategic and driven BDM who’s ready to hit the ground running and take ownership of the commercial market across NZ.

  • Commercial BDM role within a prominent flooring company
  • Bring your established networks and propel business growth
  • Genuine autonomy to shape the market and make your mark

Working across a premium portfolio of commercial flooring solutions, you’ll be responsible for growing relationships across the architecture, design and commercial interiors space. You'll have the opportunity to open doors with architects, interior designers, developers, property groups, hospitality operators and key end users, positioning the right solutions and turning opportunities into successful projects.

This is a full-spectrum business development role where relationship building is key. Experience within commercial interiors such as furniture, lighting, textiles, surfaces or other specification-led products could also be of interest. What matters most is your ability to build genuine relationships, understand a commercial sales process and influence decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build a strong network across architects, designers, developers and commercial decision-makers
  • Identify upcoming projects and get involved early to create new sales opportunities
  • Grow revenue by turning relationships and opportunities into successful projects
  • Introduce clients to innovative flooring products, custom solutions and design concepts
  • Take ownership of the sales process from initial opportunity through to negotiation and close
  • Strengthen existing client relationships while actively developing new business
  • Keep a close eye on the commercial property, construction and design market to uncover opportunities
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and keep CRM activity up to date
  • Represent the brand at industry events, design functions and networking opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with the wider NZ team and international product specialists to deliver the right solutions for clients

A bit about you:

  • Proven experience in commercial sales, business development or specification sales
  • Strong relationship-building skills and confidence dealing with senior stakeholders
  • Experience working with architects, designers, developers or the wider commercial interiors market
  • Confident presenting and influencing decision-makers
  • Commercially minded with a genuine appetite for new business
  • Organised, self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously

If you’re an established commercial salesperson who knows how to build strong networks, uncover opportunities and turn relationships into revenue, we’d love to hear from you.
