The Company

A household name in the flooring industry, you will join one of the best flooring providers in the market.  This business prides themselves on their genuine relationships and loyal customer base.  They have an extensive range of contemporary and luxury flooring; carpet, timber, laminate and vinyl ranges.  Their customers include small and large commercial builders, group housing companies, designers and architects.     

 

The Job

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Account Manager to drive sales and manage commercial projects and pipeline leads to ensure projects are executed smoothly, from initial specification through to delivery. Your blend of technical knowledge and sales acumen will be key to converting opportunities into successful outcomes.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Managing projects; timelines, delivery & quality
  • Maintain strong relationships with commercial builders and in turn manage a robust sales pipeline
  • Collaborate with the internal specification/pricing team to meet project objectives, interpret project plans and ensure compatibility of products.
  • Sales - pitch for and review tenders, specifications, contract negotiation and close.
  • Attend site meetings, work with architects, contractors and builders in resolving challenges.

What We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate will have a background in the flooring, construction or building materials industry. The key skills we’re looking for are:

  • Relationship building - understand client needs and naturally be able to establish long-term industry connections.  
  • Technically adept – able to learn and communicate technical product details, specifications, and installation requirements with ease.
  • Project planning & organisation - understand timelines and deliverables, efficient scheduling, prioritising tasks and managing resources to keep projects on track. 
  • A clear and confident communicator – able to clearly convey expectations, updates and changes to the project.  And manage multiple stakeholders; clients, suppliers, team members and sub-contractors.  
  • Proficient with CRM systems.
