The role

Looking for a role where you can really own your work and be part of a business that values its people? We’re partnering with a well established, NZ owned freight forwarder who are on the lookout for an experienced Export Operator.

This is a hands on, end to end role where you’ll manage export shipments across both Air and Ocean. You’ll be trusted to handle everything from bookings and documentation through to final delivery, while keeping clients in the loop and ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Ideal skills and experience

We’re looking for someone who knows their way around exports and enjoys building strong working relationships. You’ll likely bring:

• 3+ years’ experience in freight forwarding
• Strong background across Air & Ocean export operations 
• Solid understanding of export documentation and processes
• Experience using CargoWise
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines with ease

Duties include

• Managing end to end export shipments across Air & Ocean
• Preparing and processing accurate export documentation
• Booking freight with airlines, shipping lines, and transport providers
• Liaising with clients, overseas agents, and internal teams
• Monitoring shipments and providing regular updates
• Handling any delays, issues, or documentation discrepancies
• Ensuring compliance with customs and export regulations
