The Company

A household name in the flooring industry, you will join one of the best flooring providers in the market.  They have an extensive range of contemporary and luxury flooring; carpet, timber, laminate and vinyl ranges.  Their customers include residential one-off jobs, as well as volume work through group housing companies, commercial clients and insurance jobs.   

The Job

As a flooring sales specialist it’s your job to measure and quote jobs with customers, and then project manage and oversee the install (using contract installers) to ensure customers jobs are delivered at the highest standard.  

Part of your week will be spent out at client’s houses to measure and quote, you’ll also work hard to build and maintain relationships with commercial or large volume customers.  You’ll work 40-45 hours per week which will include a weekend day – weekends are great, they’re busy and an opportunity to maximise sales and earn your commission. 

The base salary is approx. $65-75K (depending on experience), and the real earning is in commission.  A good Sales Consultant can earn $100K, a great one can earn $120K+.  

The Right Person

Attitude is key!  Flooring experience is ideal but we want someone who loves working with customers, picks up things quickly and works hard.  It takes a bit of time to learn the product knowledge, if you’re good with figures, have done a job that requires measuring and quoting, you’ll be ahead of the game in no time.  Your drive and energy will shine and your communication skills and confidence in helping customers source the right flooring is essential.
