About the team

This is a well-established hospitality and event hire business that has recently been acquired by passionate new owners who have spent time strengthening the foundations and are now ready to grow.

With a strong reputation across Auckland servicing large corporate clients through to boutique events, the business is known for quality, professionalism and service. The team is experienced, capable and genuinely lovely to work with. There is a rebrand on the horizon and an exciting next chapter ahead.

To support that growth, they are creating a dedicated sales-focused role. They are looking for someone who can bring fresh energy, relationship-building skills and commercial drive.

You will be joining a small, thriving, down-to-earth team who support one another and take pride in what they do. This is a growth seat in the business, not just a part-time support role.

About the role

This role will initially be 20 hours per week on a 12-month fixed term contract, with strong potential for increased hours and longer-term growth for the right person.

It is ideally suited to someone wanting flexibility, for example a parent returning to the workforce or someone seeking meaningful part-time hours, but who still wants to operate professionally and make a real impact.

You will be responsible for:

  • Proactively growing new and existing client relationships
  • Upselling and maximising every engagement
  • Educating clients on additional products and services
  • Building strong relationships with corporate decision-makers
  • Attending networking events
  • Planning your week strategically across the wider Auckland region

This is consultative, relationship-based sales. You are offering solutions clients genuinely need, often options they are pleased to learn are available.

You will need a full driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle. You will also need confidence presenting professionally to corporate clients.

The base salary reflects the part-time structure of the role, however the commission structure is genuinely attractive and achievable. For someone confident in their sales ability, the earning potential is strong.
