About the role: 

This role will suit someone who has excellent experience within the food industry (ideally cold storage), including warehousing, logistics, supply chain, or FMCG sectors. You will be well connected with the ability to bring these relationships to the next level. As the business and team grows your role will initially start off as the sole Account Manager for NZ, being open to travel and work autonomously is an essential. Growth in the team is on the horizon and you will have an influence on future hires. You’ll be part of a dynamic business during a pivotal phase of development, helping shape commercial strategy, lead customer relationships, and lay the foundation for a growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers, including senior decision-makers across major retail, wholesale, and distribution networks
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies—setting pricing structures, revenue targets, and resource planning
  • Lead negotiations on new contracts and commercial agreements, overseeing end-to-end onboarding
  • Take ownership of the pricing and proposal approval process
  • Work closely with operations, supply chain, finance, and marketing to ensure alignment with company-wide initiatives
  • Represent the business in external presentations, client meetings, and networking opportunities
  • Travel required

They specialise within the food space, specifically cold storage and are looking for someone who has experience within this space. 

About you: With offices and warehouses in Auckland and Christchurch, they would consider someone from either location, however the role does involve travel. To be successful in this role you must understand the start to finish of a sale and follow the process through. You must have experience with negotiating rates within the food industry and have a solid understanding of warehousing depth. This is a senior level position so being able to hold conversations and negotiate at all levels within a business is a key element to the role.
