About the Role

Working alongside an experienced engineer, you'll play an important role in preparing electrical equipment ready for dispatch. This is a varied, hands on position involving dismantling, assembling, refurbishing and packing equipment, with plenty of opportunity to learn from experienced professionals.

Your day to day will include:

• Dismantling and reassembling electrical equipment and components
• Assembling pipework, fittings and other mechanical and electrical parts
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure work is completed accurately
• Packing completed units ready for dispatch
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop
• Working closely with the Service Manager and workshop engineer

This role will begin as a temporary assignment with the intention of becoming permanent. Once permanent, you'll become eligible for a range of additional employee benefits, including health insurance and bonus opportunities. This is a business you will want to get your foot in the door with!

What we're looking for

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys practical, hands on work and takes pride in doing things properly. You're naturally curious, enjoy figuring out how things work and have the patience to carefully dismantle and reassemble components with precision. You're mechanically minded, have a great eye for detail and enjoy the satisfaction of seeing a finished product come together.

Ideally you'll have:

• Previous experience in electrical or HVAC assembly, manufacturing, engineering or a workshop environment would be ideal but not a deal breaker
• You may be a recent uni graduate looking for a role to apply your engineering knowledge
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow assembly processes
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• A good level of physical fitness for a hands on role (you will be on your feet all day!) 
• A strong work ethic with a reliable attendance record
• Steel capped work boots and availability to start ASAP
