About the Job:
This is a rare opportunity for someone who is wanting to continue growing your sales career within a global business. You’ll be joining a successful, experienced sales team that works across NZ and offers plenty of support, training, and collaboration. This role is ideal for someone who is a hunter, loves the chase and has a strength in getting the sales across the line. You will have experience with B2B sales, ideally within the construction space. 

You'll be mentored by senior salespeople, learn on the job, and be given loads of autonomy. You’ll be focused on building relationships with new customers and helping the business grow across the central North Island. You will be require travel across Hawke’s Bay, Palmerston North, and New Plymouth, with flexibility to stay away from home up to two times per month.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to be confident with new business/customers and motivated to uncover new business opportunities.  Around 80% of the role focuses on new business development, with the remaining 20% on managing and growing existing accounts.
  • Identifying and pursuing new B2B opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and warm leads
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships
  • Assist in delivering accurate and timely quotations to customers
  • Learn to generate reports on sales performance and market insights
  • Join face-to-face meetings with key customers and stakeholders
  • Work towards meeting business targets and KPIs
  • Support negotiations on new contracts and commercial agreements
  • Contribute to the proposal and pricing processes
  • Travel regionally as required and work with autonomy as you grow
About You: 
  • Proven track record of developing healthy sales pipelines and onboarding new business
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Experience with B2B sales and commercial negotiations
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment at time
