A genuinely fantastic newly created role inside a down to earth small thriving team; 20 hours with potential to grow; dive into the world of event hire turning endless leads into uncapped commission.

  • Suit driven down to earth natural sales personality + North Shore
  • Initially a 20 hour p/wk + 12 month FTC + potential for growth and more hours
  • Suit school hours + base + uncapped commission + genuine team

About the team

This is a team relatively recently acquired by new owners who have spent time resetting foundations and are now excited to inject fresh inspiration and quality service into this well established leading organisation.  This business works in the hospitality hire space and is very well connected across large corporate accounts, through to smaller hiring needs and everything in between.  With many years experience and a very strong reputation supplying the general Auckland region with professional high quality hospitality supplies, this team is ready to take their business sales to the next level.

You will be joining a small thriving team who are excellent at what they do.  With a rebrand on the horizon next, and a very well bedded down team, the time is right to dedicate a 20 hour role to someone who will focus entirely on sales growth.  In this business, while this is actually quite a fluid task that will result in very quick results, it is essentially a personality hire.  The right person will see the potential growth their role brings to this business, and will be just as excited and motivated to deliver some big results.

About the role

This is a perfect role for someone juggling school hours.  The nature of the work may eventually increase and therefore ideally, you’ll be someone who has some capacity to take on more hours after the initial 12 month FTC, though this is not a deal breaker.  The role is newly created, therefore a flexible personality who understands the nature of being part of a developing team and developing needs, is ideally suited.  This role will bring in very easily converted commission, the nature of the work you will do is that you are offering clients options and alternatives they are more often than not, pleased to hear you can help them with.  A position that will in it’s nature, be very rewarding.  You will be responsible for the upselling and maximising of all engagements, as well as proactively educating clients on what you can supply them with, ensuring every sale meets and exceeds the valuable customer experience.  You will travel across the wider Auckland region, and will plan your week strategically to make the most of your day, calling on new and existing clients, attending networking events, and bringing your own ideas and inspiration to the table.  Practically, you will need a reliable car, and your full licence.  As you’ll be working with decision makers in corporate environments, you will need to be professional and well spoken, understanding the importance of communication in a  relationship based industry.

Who you will be

The right person for this role will be likeable, comfortable speaking with every walk of people, professionally presented, and down to earth.  You’ll be someone who gets on well with everyone and has a friendly easy going personality, a good sense of humour and a team spirit.  You will bring a sound reliable energy to the team and clientele, and genuinely enjoy what you do.

This role is unique in many ways, and will absolutely be rewarding.  It offers so many commission opportunities, therefore a strategic organised sales personality is best suited.  Background is less important, than personality fit. That said, you will still need to have a great sales personality, ideally based on some experience in a sales environment, understanding pipelines and sales cycles.

If you would like to know more about this role, and you believe you have a strong background for this role, I would love to hear from you. Please apply today with an up to date CV to Liz Beckett.
