Manufacturing Lead

We’re looking for a practical, people-focused leader with the ambition to help drive a busy manufacturing operation in their next phase of growth.

You will need to be a hands-on leader with a strong technical and mechanical background who enjoys being on the floor, developing people and making meaningful improvements. 

About the role:

Reporting into senior leadership, you'll take ownership of manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, quality and team performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, coaching and developing a team of 15–20 production staff
• Driving a strong health and safety culture across the site
• Taking ownership of daily manufacturing operations and production outcomes
• Monitoring workflow, resources and production schedules
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensuring quality standards are consistently met
• Managing performance, training and capability development within the team
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to optimise operational performance

About you: 

• Proven experience in a Manufacturing Supervisor, Team Leader or Production Leadership role
• Strong technical or mechanical background gained within manufacturing, engineering or industrial environments
• Demonstrated experience leading and motivating production teams
• A proactive, hands-on leadership style
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment
• Experience driving operational improvements and efficiencies
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills - you will be a real people person who enjoys developing your team
