We’re partnering with a range of well-established mental health providers across New Zealand to recruit experienced Mental Health Clinicians for Crisis Intervention services.

We’re interested in hearing from Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and Clinical Psychologists who are passionate about supporting people experiencing acute mental health distress and who thrive in fast-paced multidisciplinary environments.

About the Roles

Working within Crisis Intervention or Acute Mental Health teams, you’ll provide urgent assessment, intervention, and support to individuals experiencing mental health crises.

You’ll work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, whānau, community providers, and emergency services to deliver safe, responsive, and recovery-focused care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting mental health assessments and crisis interventions
  • Supporting acute care planning and risk management
  • Delivering compassionate, person-centred care
  • Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Supporting individuals and whānau through periods of crisis
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation

About You

We’re looking for clinicians who are calm under pressure, clinically confident, and committed to delivering high-quality mental health care.

You’ll bring:

  • Registration in New Zealand (or eligibility for registration) in one of the following:
    • Registered Nurse
    • Occupational Therapist
    • Social Worker
    • Clinical Psychologist
  • A minimum of two year’s experience working within a Crisis Team or Acute Mental Health Service
  • Strong assessment, communication, and risk management skills
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary environments
  • Commitment to culturally responsive and recovery-focused practice
